Biography
Milena Stevanović graduated in Environmental Protection Engineering from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy (TMF) in 2014. She obtained her MSc in Chemical Engineering at TMF in 2015, and later pursued doctoral studies in the field of Materials Engineering at the same faculty from 2016. She has published seven papers in international scientific journals and authored around 20 presentations at both international and national conferences. Her ORCID is 0000-0002-8083-3787, and her Scopus Author ID is 56646067800. Since March 2017, Milena has been employed at the Innovation Center of TMF, holding the position of Research Assistant. Her research focuses on biomaterials, composite coatings for bone implants, and hydrogels for wound treatment. Presently, she is participating in the HORIZON 2020 project ”Twinning to excel materials engineering for medical devices” – ExcellMater, grant no. 952033, H2020-WIDESPREAD-2018-2020/H2020-WIDESPREAD-2020-5, 2020-2023 (financed by European Commission). Additionally, she is engaged in an international bilateral collaboration project between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Slovenia for the period 2023-2025, focusing on “Electrochemical production of composite biomaterials for medical hard tissue implants”. As part of the COST Action TD1305 iPROMEDAI in Brussels (2018), Milena participated in the training school on “Standardized Antimicrobial Activity Testing of Orthopedic Implant Surface.” She is fluent in English and has a basic understanding of the German language. Milena is a member of the Serbian Chemical Society.
